Tinnitus or ringing in the ears, is the sensation of hearing ringing, buzzing, chirping, whistling or other sounds. It can be intermittent or constant, and can vary in loudness. No matter how you are affected by tinnitus, one thing is for sure – you want it to stop.

Patients with chronic balance problems and dizziness can experience a tremendous handicap in their everyday lives. Normal daily activities are often avoided for fear of bringing on an attack of their symptoms, which can include disorientation, lack of balance, light-headedness, swaying, or, in the case of vertigo, a spinning sensation that can be accompanied by nausea.

Videonystagmography (VNG) Balance Test

For individuals having difficulties with their balance and equlibrium videonystagmography (VNG) is a valuable diagnostic procedure that is simple and painless, and it can help more accurately determine the cause of your dizziness symptoms. During a VNG test goggles are placed on the patient with cameras above each eye. These cameras record all eye movements throughout testing. There are three tests performed and the resulting eye movements are then measured and each ear is evaluated separately.

A cochlear implant is an electronic device that partially restores hearing. It can be an option for people who have severe hearing loss from inner-ear damage who are no longer helped by using hearing aids.

   I went to Silver State Hearing to get my hearing tested and saw Kayla, the resident audiologist.  She was gentle and thorough and explained everything  she was doing.  When it came to finding the "right" hearing aid, she explained the differences, what she would recommend specifically for me and why.  I was not rushed through any part of the appointment.  She even took the time and explained to my husband why he had always had problems with his hearing aids so now he knows what to go back to his doctor and question.  The place is bright and clean, the office staff were pleasant and helpful.

   Easy to make appointment, on time seeing Dr Hodie, Explained the results of hearing test. I didn't realize that you needed to have your hearing aides cleaned every 6 months. That was the reason that I could not hear any difference with hearing aides in or out. Highly recommend
